I really like this! Great prompt. I just read somewhere the error in translation--fur vs. glass. I was thinking it would make a great poem...and so it did!
ReplyDeleteNice first poem for NaPoWriMo. The repetition in the stanzas gives it a nice flow.
ReplyDeleteAnd now, I must go write my poem.

ReplyDeleteI really like this poem and the use of mistranslation that jumps the brain into high gear. Your use of the soft "s" at the end of so many lines is very nice.
ReplyDeleteHey Kelli, I wrote one to this prompt too, but I like it so much that after I revise it twenty times, I may send it out. I wrote about the origin of Lucifer. I love that online etymology dictionary for poem seeds.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks Sam, I went to the website. Glad you liked the poem.
