Before you kids today with your file-sharing and MP3s, I loved collecting bootlegs from my favorite bands, as a teenager. Nirvana was one of those bands, whose shows were worth finding.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons was that I always love getting a glimpse into the creative process and it was interesting to hear the different edits and re-writes that Kurt's songs would go through, in earlier live performances, compared to how they eventually ended up on the official albums.
Lyric lines, choruses, sometimes entire songs were continuously being tweaked on the way to "finished."
