I wept when I turned 30 (but then my 30's turned out to be a good decade), so I expected turning 40 a few years ago to be even more traumatic. But it wasn't.
Somehow, as I get older, and still have the gifts of good health and sound mind and time to write and the love of spouse/family/friends and steady financial resources--those things more than balance out extra lines on my face and a few more pounds on my frame and a few more years on the earth.
Again, Happy Birthday and a happy new decade--enjoy being the youngest in the age division!
Wishing you cupcakes and clear sailings. One of my violin students said to me the other day you should have a little house by your house you could write in and I asked him if he knew someone with a little house like that thinking for certain he was a friend of yours. He's 10. I think you'd like him.
Happy birthday. Trust me, it gets better from here on out.
Hi. I'm Katie and my e-mail friend Maya reccomends you and your books frequently. I would like to know what book you have written, so I can check them out.
Hi Kelli! Happy belated birthday. May 40 be your Pulitzer Prize winning poetry decade. Or other heaps of suitable accolades for your work and your lovely smile.
Happy birthday, dear Kelli!
