I'm familiar with the PayPal tools, I just need to sit down and make time to really learn them and make them work for me.

I'm amazed already at how little of the final stages of publication seems to actually be preparing the book, and how much of it is other stuff.

I'll drop you a line as soon as I know my release date. :) I can't wait!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-83849716170506985552012-10-11T00:12:53.335-07:002012-10-11T00:12:53.335-07:00

I figure anyone who is serious about business will have a serious website.
Facebook is for sharing invites to student parties, or letting your parents see photos of the grandkids, or keeping in touch with friends while you travel overseas. Since I don't need any of those features, and I loathe their business practices, I keep right away.Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08236329216260906624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-64560491059039387492012-10-10T14:33:52.911-07:002012-10-10T14:33:52.911-07:00Allyson-- AWESOME! People just need to be able to FIND YOU on the web.

What blog-format do you use? Word Press, blogger, or something else?

PayPal has a whole series of tools (under Merchant Tools) that can be used in most formats because it converts them to html code and you just cut and paste. check it out and good luck to you!

CONGRATS Again!

PS do share the name and press when you have a chance and mail me a copy and I'll share it on my blog.

Kelli Russell Agodon - Book of Kellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01798460634708905783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-487905659878231362012-10-10T13:46:02.122-07:002012-10-10T13:46:02.122-07:00This was so timely for me, because I found out a w...This was so timely for me, because I found out a week ago that a small press accepted my chapbook! I'm so excited, but also so worried about marketing.

I won't be re-opening a Facebook account because I do not agree with their TOS or business practices, but I'll be hitting up most of the other things on the list. Step 1 is figuring out how to convert my blog into a fully-functional website to sell books!

I also searched around and found your post from 2010 about getting author photos done. I'll be making use of that this weekend!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
