...Thanks for your notes! (And you're welcome!)

Joannie-- RE: *if it's truly your passion, you'll make money at it* - I think we like to hope/believe this is true, but as said, sometimes our passions are just our passions and they fulfill us $ or not.

And Buddy Holly LOVES whipped cream. He runs into the kitchen whenever I take it out. ;-)Kelli Russell Agodon - Book of Kellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01798460634708905783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-69015513424705068372011-05-31T20:21:53.006-07:002011-05-31T20:21:53.006-07:00Thank you, Kelli.
I will say that I've been o...Thank you, Kelli.

I will say that I've been one of those people having a hard time finding their passion--and I think it's because of the current prevailing philosophy that *if it's truly your passion, you'll make money at it* (I've been hearing this a lot of places). Which meant that my passion couldn't be my passion, because it couldn't replace my day job. But I can now say, with honesty and vigor, that my passion is writing poetry. Really. Period. And if it doesn't make money and I still need to keep my day job--that's okay. It's still my passion.

P.S. I'm glad you're feeling better about all the unsettling stuff, and I love the image of the Buddy Holly licking the whipped cream.Joannie Stangelandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06006768246992875405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-22408958461116134622011-05-31T18:31:32.359-07:002011-05-31T18:31:32.359-07:00Thank you, Kelli! I really needed this today....I feel like it's a matter of just zooming in sometimes, keeping on what matters--reading, writing, loved ones--in a tighter circle, and not letting my brain pan out past that. It's the panning that'll get you every time. :) Thanks again for pointing me back where I belong....Sallyhttp://www.sallyrosenkindred.com/Home.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37627577.post-39161096574667184632011-05-31T11:14:31.905-07:002011-05-31T11:14:31.905-07:00I am thankful for you and your blog.
